ServiceM8 is an online system that stores customer, staff and financial information about your company as provided or entered by that company. ServiceM8 will store information that is entered by you, or automatically imported. The data entered, or imported, by you remains your property and ServiceM8 will not use nor make available for use any of this information for any purpose other than delivering the service provided by ServiceM8, without your permission.
The data entered, or imported, by you is stored securely in a database and is only accessible to people whom you have authorized access, and ServiceM8 support staff for the purposes of delivering and supporting ServiceM8.
It is your responsibility to keep your password safe. ServiceM8 staff, and ServiceM8's partners, do not have access to your password and will never ask for your password.
Provided you have met your obligations under the ServiceM8 Terms of Service, you are able to access a full export of the data from the system in XML, PDF, and various image file formats. This information will be packaged into a single ZIP file for accessibility. You may only access this full export of your data once per 24-hour period.
At your request, ServiceM8 can permanently delete your account data, including all historic backups which may be stored in various locations around the world. This request must be made in writing by the account owner.
ServiceM8's servers are secured by SSL Certificates issued by COMODO, so all data transferred between users and ServiceM8 is encrypted, including data transferred to iPhone® and iPad® devices.
ServiceM8 stores your data in multiple locations around the world, including the United States, Australia, Ireland, Singapore and Tokyo. ServiceM8 in Australia administers data access and service delivery. You consent to that data being transferred from your country to any of the above listed storage locations.
If you choose to pay for ServiceM8 by credit card, your credit card details are not stored by ServiceM8 and cannot be accessed by ServiceM8 staff. ServiceM8 uses PayPal as our payment provider, which provides you with flexible payment options around the world.
ServiceM8 utilises "cookies" and other technical measures that enable the correct functioning of ServiceM8. ServiceM8 will not sell or otherwise provide your personal information to a third party, or make any other use of personal information about you for any purpose which is not necessary to the normal use of ServiceM8.
ServiceM8 sends billing information, product information, newsletters and notifications to you via email.
Where appropriate email communication will contain instructions describing how you can opt to be removed from the mailing list.
ServiceM8 staff will never access your data stored in the service, except where required to do so to assist with resolution of a system issue or error.
ServiceM8 staff can access non-identifying and aggregated usage information and transaction volumes in order to better understand how our customers are using the service, so we can improve the system design and, where appropriate, have the system prompt users with suggestions on ways to improve their own use of the system. All aggregated usage information is stored in a secure database.
ServiceM8 reserves the right to change this policy at any time, and any amended policy is effective upon the posting on this website. ServiceM8 will make every effort to communicate these changes to you via email or notification via the website.
