Managing field staff efficiently means knowing where they've been and how they're spending their time. The new Visit-Based Reporting feature gives you a complete picture of your staff member's day, from clock-on to clock-off, showing every location they visited and the time spent traveling between jobs.
What You'll See
- A chronological list of all locations visited by a staff member on a specific day
- Job details for each visit including job number, client name, and address
- Arrival and departure times at each location with duration on-site
- Travel time between locations
- Clock-on and clock-off events at the start and end of the day
- An interactive map showing all visit locations with connecting lines between stops
How to Use Visit-Based Reporting
- Go to Reports in your Online Dashboard
- Select the Visit-Based Report option
- Choose the staff member you want to track
- Select the specific date you want to review
- View the timeline of visits and interact with the map display
Interactive Features
Click on any visit location in the timeline to center the map over that specific location. The map displays different icons for various location types including jobs, suppliers, fuel stations, and unknown locations, giving you a clear visual representation of your staff member's route throughout the day.
Important Considerations
- Visits are filtered out when staff are clocked off or on lunch break
- Clock-on and clock-off locations show as large imprecise circles to protect home location privacy
- All visit events display at the same height regardless of actual duration spent at each location
Note: This feature requires staff to have location permissions enabled on their mobile devices with 'Always Allow' and Precise Location settings for accurate tracking.
