Photo Support via SMS

Previously, sharing photos with clients required emailing them or using personal phones. Now you can send photos directly through ServiceM8's SMS feature, reaching clients who prefer text messages or have limited email access.

How it works

When you send a photo via SMS, the message is delivered as a standard text (not MMS) with a link to ServiceM8's mobile web portal where clients can view the photos. This ensures reliable delivery even when data connections are limited.

How to send photos via SMS

  1. Open the job card and tap to compose a new SMS message
  2. Click "Add Attachment" to access the photo selection interface
  3. Choose from current job photos, favorites, or upload new photos
  4. Select multiple photos if needed - there's no limit
  5. Send the SMS message as usual

What clients see

Clients receive a standard text message with a link to view the photos. When they tap the link, it opens a mobile-optimized web portal where they can view all attached photos and reply if needed using ServiceM8's existing two-way SMS feature.

Note: This feature works alongside ServiceM8's existing two-way SMS functionality, so clients can still reply to messages and attach their own photos back to you.
