ServiceM8 the Partner Choice at MYOB Awards

23 August 2019, Melbourne, Australia — MYOB has announced ServiceM8, the job management app for trade and service businesses, as the recipient of the Add-on Partner Choice at its 11th annual Australia and New Zealand Partner Connect Gala Dinner.

The industry-leading awards were rigorously reviewed by a judging panel including MYOB’s Senior Leadership Team and respected industry professionals and business leaders from Smiling Mind, ANZ, OnDeck and Netball New Zealand.

MYOB’s General Manager of Product and 2019 Partner Awards judge, David Weickhardt, said the quality of the award candidates was outstanding.

“The recipients of the 2019 Partner Awards present an incredible cross-section of partners, practices and individuals who are all operating at the pinnacle of their field, setting a fantastic example for their peers and shaping a stronger future for the Accounting industry. We’re honoured to have them as part of our community,” Mr Weickhardt said.

The Add-on Partner Choice 2019 shines the spotlight on the add-on tool developed for the accounting ecosystem that is most loved by MYOB Partners.

ServiceM8 CEO Ben Ford sees the award as a shared win: “We’re absolutely stoked, and it’s extra-special being the Partner Choice award and coming from the MYOB Partner community. We wouldn’t be where we are today, or receiving this award, if not for the hard work of our partners and the shared success we’ve seen in helping our mutual customers."

ServiceM8 integrated with MYOB in 2012 to streamline the administration around managing jobs, invoicing, payments and accounting. ServiceM8 has since built a global network of independent ServiceM8 Partners offering ServiceM8 consultation, setup and training services to help trade and service businesses implement the job management solution.

Mr Ford said the award affirms partner programs and their role in helping businesses move into the cloud: “ServiceM8 has believed and invested in partners for a long time, and it’s amazing for our efforts to be recognized this way. With this award, MYOB’s really shined a light on the benefits of accountants and bookkeepers working with developers like ServiceM8.”

“Accountants and bookkeepers are trusted advisors, and small business experts. They are perfectly positioned to diversify with app advisory and help trade and service business owners transition to ServiceM8 and the cloud in general. We acted on this, and now the value-add services of our partners is something that really set ServiceM8 apart,” Mr Ford said.

“MYOB provides a great platform and ecosystem of apps for accountant & bookkeeping partners to offer app advisory services and bundle a cohesive, effective app stack for their clients, which ties into their accounting package. Combined with MYOB, the right solutions can transform the professionalism, productivity, and cash flow of a business,” said Mr Ford.
