Tap to Pay on iPhone | New Zealand

You can now accept contactless payments directly on your iPhone in New Zealand, with no extra terminals or hardware needed. This brings the proven Tap to Pay technology that's already available in Australia, Canada, the UK, and USA to New Zealand customers.

How to use Tap to Pay on iPhone

Once available, you'll be able to enable Tap to Pay on iPhone through your ServiceM8 mobile app. The process is simple:

  1. Complete a job and navigate to the Billing view
  2. Tap 'Add Payment'
  3. Select 'Enable Tap to Pay on iPhone'
  4. Follow the setup process to connect your Stripe account

Payment acceptance

With Tap to Pay on iPhone, you can accept:

  • Physical contactless debit and credit cards
  • Apple Pay from iPhone or Apple Watch
  • Other digital wallets that support contactless transactions

Requirements

  • iPhone XS or later
  • Latest iOS version
  • ServiceM8 Pay subscription (monthly subscription plans only)
  • Stripe account connected through ServiceM8 Pay
Note: This feature requires ServiceM8 Pay to be set up and activated. Processing fees apply per transaction and can optionally be passed on to clients.
