Managing large numbers of assets just got easier. Previously, you needed to create each asset individually using QR code scanning in the mobile app. Now you can import multiple assets at once using a CSV file, then complete their setup using an improved mobile app experience.
How to Import Assets via CSV
- Go to Settings > Assets
- Click the "Bulk Import" button in the top-right corner
- Select your asset type and choose which clients the assets belong to
- Upload your CSV file or download the provided template to get started
- Preview your data and map columns to the correct asset fields
- Review any validation errors and fix them before importing
- Complete the import process which runs in batches
Completing Asset Setup in the Mobile App
After importing assets, you'll need to complete their setup using the mobile app. The app now provides clearer guidance for assets that need setup:
- Assets without labels will show a "Complete Asset Setup" button in their empty state
- When you try to complete forms against unlabeled assets, you'll see an alert prompting you to complete setup first
- The setup process guides you through: Scan Label > Set Location > Take Photo
- Use the new search bar to quickly find specific assets by name or type
Key Features
- Follows the same familiar process as importing materials and clients
- Download a pre-formatted CSV template for your specific asset type
- Preview and validate your data before final import
- Process imports in batches for better performance
- Improved mobile app workflow for completing asset setup
- Search functionality to filter assets by name or type
- Clear visual indicators for assets that need setup completion
Note: You cannot complete forms against assets until they have labels assigned.
