Staff Leave | Dispatch Board

August 2025

Previously, adding staff leave required navigating to Settings > Staff to set up time off. You can now add staff leave directly from the dispatch board, making it quicker to block out availability while viewing the schedule.

How to add staff leave from the dispatch board

  1. Right-click on a staff member's name in the staff schedule
  2. Select 'Add Leave' from the action menu
  3. Enter the reason for leave and select your date range
  4. Click 'Next' to review the leave details including staff member, reason, timing and duration
  5. Use 'Edit Leave' to make changes or 'Save Leave' to confirm
  6. The leave will appear on the selected day(s) in the schedule

Flexible leave scheduling options

The new staff leave feature supports various timing patterns to match your business needs:

  • Single full day: "Fri 1/08/2025"
  • Multiple consecutive days: "Fri 1/08/2025 - Fri 29/08/2025"
  • Partial day with specific hours: "Fri 1/08/2025 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM"
  • Weekly recurring: "Every Fri until 31/12/2025"
  • Multiple days recurring: "Every Mon, Wed, Fri 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM until 31/12/2025"
  • Monthly patterns: "First Mon of every month 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM"

Important notes

  • You can edit leave after it's added, but cannot move it around on the schedule by dragging
  • Leave can only be added for one staff member at a time
  • Notes cannot be added to leave entries
  • This feature requires the Staff Leave add-on to be activated
