We are looking for intelligent, talented, and driven people, who understand and embrace our values, and want to be part of a team pursuing ambitious common goals.

The role

We’re looking for an experienced Video Producer to join our team to own ServiceM8’s video production from end to end. You will be responsible for producing engaging, creative videos while meeting the needs and requirements of key stakeholders across the company.

You’ll work closely with the communications team to deliver on an array of video content, such as in-app tutorials, product launches, marketing, landing page videos, customer stories, social media content, blog content, explainers and more. You will work with our Communications Manager to ensure that the overall messaging, direction, and execution of our videos align with ServiceM8's brand.

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for understanding the needs of different departments from a video perspective, hold creative brief meetings, and provide status updates on various media assets, ensuring smooth, on-time delivery.
  • Produce videos from end-to-end, from pre-production through post-production. You will be responsible for concepting, scripting, directing, shooting, editing, color grading, basic motion graphics, and more.
  • Be responsible for supporting ServiceM8’s marketing, product, and support teams by brainstorming, writing, shooting and editing videos for customer-facing projects.
  • Deliver high quality, creative & on-brand assets, working with the communications team to maintain the quality—and push the boundaries—of the ServiceM8 brand as it pertains to video.
  • Proactively identify and promote opportunities to use engaging video content to drive ServiceM8’s goals and customer success.

To be the right fit for this role you’ll need to have:

  • 3-5+ years of demonstrated professional videography, filmmaking, and editing experience.
  • Technical expertise in all key aspects of video production, including lighting, framing, and recording clean audio.
  • Proficient skills with Adobe Premiere and/or Final Cut X, and After Effects (or a willingness to learn After Effects if needed).
  • An understanding that bad ideas are part of the creative process, and good judgement to know when to fight for an idea, and when to let it go and move on.
  • A team player attitude, with the ability to clearly articulate visual concepts and communicate effectively with a wide range of internal/external stakeholders.
  • Experience with and comfort directing and interviewing non-actors on camera.
  • A deep passion for video.
  • A shared belief in our values.
  • A basic understanding of small business.
