What does ServiceM8 do?

ServiceM8 is a hosted application that allows you to manage all facets of a field service delivery business. It will guide you from job quoting (or job estimates) right through to invoicing on completion. You will have real-time information on what jobs are currently active, what quotes have been issued to clients, and where and when staff are at clients sites. ServiceM8 is designed to be used by everyone in your business, from each individual field staff member, to back office staff, through all levels of management. It is simple and effective, and best of all, it's available anywhere, anytime.

How do I install ServiceM8?

There's no installation required! We host ServiceM8 so you don't have to worry about installing or upgrading any software. You only need a modern web browser such as Google Chrome or Safari and you're ready to go.

Which countries are usable with ServiceM8?

ServiceM8 is usable by businesses in any country. However, we have more support for services, such as tax and invoicing requirements, in some countries than in others. Invoices and tax requirements are customisable to your needs from your preferences menu inside ServiceM8.

Which languages are supported?

At present only English is supported, however our engineers are currently working on expanding support to other languages.


Mobile Access

What mobile devices are supported?

ServiceM8 supports both the iPhone and iPad mobile devices. A field technician can see his/her allocated jobs and tasks, while a business owner can see active jobs across all employees. ServiceM8 Mobile is provided free of charge to all ServiceM8 clients.

Why would I use ServiceM8 on a mobile devices?

ServiceM8 is about providing service to your clients. When you or your field staff are out on the road, rather then having to call the office to get client or job details, they can access everything right on their phone. View client details, see your schedule and even get directions to your next job in a few taps. When staff use ServiceM8 Mobile, it can also send vital information back to your office, so you know where they are in real-time.


Data and Security

Do you provide an uptime guarantee?

Yes we do. We have a Business Service Level Agreement which applies to all customers.

Who owns the data in ServiceM8?

You own your data - not us. So we will do everything to ensure that no-one but you (and us if you need support) will ever see it. You can download your data at any time so your not locked in to ServiceM8.


Your Account

How much does ServiceM8 cost?

We have several pricing rates available depending on the size of your business. The first 20 jobs booked into the system each month are free, most sole-traders should be able to operate perpetually within this free tier at no charge.

How can I pay?

You will need a Visa, Mastercard or PayPal account to pay for ServiceM8. ServiceM8 uses PayPal as our payment provider, which provides you with flexible payment options in hundreds of countries around the world.

What happens if I stop using ServiceM8?

If you have not logged into your account in over 120 days, then your account will become inactive and may be removed from ours servers. We will remind you well before this deadline, this keeps ours servers fresh and your service fast.

How do I get billed?

At the start of each month you will be sent an invoice email linking you to a page that shows all the transaction fees that you will be charged as part of your usage for that billing period. At that point you have the option to "dispute" the fees for transactions which do not represent real sales, such as quotes or work orders you've made for testing purposes. Once you've confirmed the invoice, we will charge you credit card.

Is it possible to setup a pre-paid account?

Yes, pre-paid pricing is available and may even work out cheaper, for more information on purchasing pre-paid job credits, view the pricing page.


Customisation

How customisable are the templates?

If you can use Microsoft Word, you can customise our templates. Simply load any of our existing samples and make any changes you wish to fonts, layout and information. Save the new template and you're done. Customise quotations, invoices and more.

What if I need a feature that is not available?

ServiceM8 is constantly being improved to help you manage your business. If you require a feature or report that is not currently available, go to our Feedback Forum and let us know.
